Champion Highlight | Raul Morales
March's Champion is Mahaney Roofing Foreman Raul Morales. Raul is being awarded the Champion Highlight because of his ability to Lead Well.
Raul has been on the Mahaney Roofing team for over two years. He is a skilled craftsman with a background in roofing. He came to Mahaney in pursuit of new opportunities and growth in his trade.
"I love it here. It's better than I have had it in jobs before."
At Mahaney, Raul definitely saw career growth. He says he is thankful he's had the opportunity to advance to a Foreman. As a Foreman, Raul leads a team of skilled craftsmen like himself. He takes leadership seriously and appreciates that his position allows him to teach and train others in his craft.
"I try to teach people how to do their job and how to enjoy it. I like getting to teach what I know and like. It gives me an opportunity to show how much I know."
Something else he likes about his job is the work-life balance that it brings. His position allows him to have flexible hours which means he gets to spend time with his wife and two young kids.
"They enjoy having me around more. They're proud of me."
