We have established 5 different divisions at Mahaney Group that we operate within. Those divisions are; Roofing, Metals, Services, Steel, and Equipment. Services Superintendent[+]

Summary/Objective

The Services Superintendent leads Mahaney Services to excellence by ensuring all crews meet safety, schedule, quality, and budget requirements. The Services Superintendent oversees all labor related to production and the successful execution of work performed. The Services Superintendent interacts with customers to understand and diagnose problems, sells and manages work, and develops and strengthens relations with all stakeholders.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Ensures superior safety culture is implemented on all jobs including anticipating severe weather which includes responding, assisting, and facilitating crews for emergency calls after hours.
  • Lead morning meetings with crews and answer questions on dispatches and tickets for the day.
  • Coordinate and communicate administrative operations to maximize the effectiveness of timely paperwork submission, available labor, material, and equipment resources available to you.
  • Ensure that all pre-production work is complete and in place prior to staffing the jobs.
  • Train crews to prepare all needed equipment, tools, materials, instructions, and job information are taken care prior to start of job to ensure all work is completed in a craftsman like manner and to the specification and satisfaction of the customer.
  • Review, inspect, and prepare proposed project bids for service tickets and contracts.
  • Attend all site meetings as needed.
  • Complete any other tasks/duties as may be assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial roofing industry.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships externally and internally with all team members to promote positive team culture.
  • Read plans and understand project specifications
  • Must be able to manage company and customer demands
  • Must be efficient and organized
  • Must at all times present an attitude of professionalism, honesty, and integrity
  • Must have technological capabilities and be able to navigate platforms, e.g., FCS, Safety Audits, Qwikbids, Outlook, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both written and orally
  • Must be able to deal with unexpected challenges in a professional and calm manner
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to develop and cultivate new and existing relationships with potential customers

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. The employee must be able to transport, lift, and set up a ladder, as needed. Standard physical must be passed to obtain this position.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position. Normal business hours will vary depending on the season. Some weekends and travel will be required.

Architectural Sheet Metal Installer[+]

Summary/Objective

We fabricate and install commercial wall and roofing panels, including insulated, aluminum composite, and single-skin. Our sheet metal fabrication shop builds custom flashing and metal systems.

  • Ability to climb a 40+ft ladder
  • Ability to stand on feet and sit on knees for long periods of time
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, agility test, and drug screen.

Experience

  • Some architectural sheet metal experience is required.
  • Compensation negotiable based upon experience.

Education

  • None required, but a metal background is preferred

Working Conditions

  • The position will be performed outdoors, and weather conditions will be a huge factor as work will occur in the heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.
  • This position will be exposed to dusty and dirty conditions as well as hazardous materials.
  • Work is done at elevated surface levels.
