Congratulations to Mahaney’s March Champion of the Month, Hector Arguelles Alvarado!
Originally from Jalisco, Mexico, Hector moved to Wichita for better opportunities when he was just fourteen years old. Hector found his passion with Roofing when he started in the trade over 20 years ago. In early 2023, Hector brought his decades long construction knowledge to the Mahaney Team as a Foreman for the Roofing Division, the position he currently holds. When he’s not on a roof, Hector enjoys spending time with his 7 children, fixing up his house, and relaxing.
Mahaney’s promise is “Excellence Elevated,” and is the concept that by solving problems with excellence, both the workman and the customer are being valued. This environment elevates the workman and the customer.
Hector says, to him, Excellence Elevated means, “being able to grow and always thinking how to make things better.” He added, “it makes me feel good knowing I’m doing things the right way.”
Belle Stewart, Vice President of Roofing, says, “Hector performs amazing work in challenging situations. He is an excellent example of what everyone at Mahaney strives to be.”
When asked about Mahaney’s culture, Hector said, “it’s a good company with good benefits. Everyone respects each other and works quickly to solve problems with respect.”
Hector says working at Mahaney has impacted his life in a positive way. He says, “I feel very comfortable and at home when I’m at Mahaney.”
