CHAMPION HIGHLIGHT | JOSE HERNANDEZ
Congratulations to our January Champion of the Month, Jose Hernandez!
Born and raised in Wichita, Jose has enjoyed putting his stamp on the community through his previous and current experience working in the construction industry. Jose has been a part of the Mahaney team for 3 years. He started his path in the Roofing Division before transitioning into Services. It wasn’t long before his hard work and talent catapulted him into his current position of a Foreman for the Services Division.
Jose was selected as the Champion for his representation of Mahaney’s Vision: “Construction is what we do – not who we are. Our core purpose is improving the quality of life in our communities. We create environments where people don't just live and work – they thrive.”
Rudy Ramirez, Services Superintendent, says, “Jose is great. He asks for help when he needs to, and he’s very respectful and responsible. He is always willing to help and teach others.”
Reflecting on what Mahaney’s Vision means to him, Jose said, “don’t let the stresses of the job get you down. Stay positive and focus on doing the best for the community – teaching others and encouraging their growth.”
Jose explained that Mahaney has made it easy for him to enjoy the work he does. He said, “everyone here is friendly, helpful, and willing to share their knowledge.” He added, “working at Mahaney has impacted my life by making me a happier person overall. I’m not stressed about work. I love being a decision maker in my job and solving problems to make the customer happy.”
When he’s not at work, you can find Jose exploring, trying new restaurants, and traveling. He also enjoys spending time with his 1-year-old daughter, Meilani.
We are thankful to have Jose as a part of Mahaney and for his commitment towards Mahaney’s Vision.
