Champion Highlight | Jed Kocher
March’s Champion of the Month is Jed Kocher!
About a year and a half ago, Jed became a part of the Mahaney Team as a Crane Operator. He credits his brother, Dusten, for telling him of the opportunity. Dusten later followed in his brother’s footsteps by joining him on the team.
It was by happenstance, Jed says, that he and his brother got into crane operating. “On a whim, we decided to become crane operators while we were in Wisconsin for heavy equipment training.”
For the last 11 years, Jed has called Nickerson, Kansas home. When he’s not at work, Jed spends his time fishing, hunting, or doing activities with his family. Together, Jed and his wife have 8 wonderful, active children.
Jed says he loves being able to experience something different every day with his work at Mahaney, he says, “it keeps you on your toes”.
When asked about Mahaney’s culture, Jed said, “Everyone has a positive attitude. You get to start the day greeted with a smile feeling welcomed and recognized.”
Jed says Mahaney has impacted his life by making “home life more enjoyable, financially able to have stability, and freedom to spend quality time with the kids.”
Mahaney’s promise is “Excellence Elevated,” and is the concept that by solving problems with excellence, both the workman and the customer are being valued. This environment elevates the workman and the customer.
Jed says Excellence Elevated means to him, “go above and beyond a job title. I don’t like saying no. I show up and do the work even when it’s tough; step in when others can’t or won’t.”
