Champion Highlight | Arturo Vela Espinoza
Congratulations to our December Champion of the Month, Arturo Vela Espinoza!
Arturo was selected as the Champion for his commitment to Transform Communities. At Mahaney, we believe that our work is a part of a larger chain of impact that has the power to transform communities.
Originally from Durango, Mexico, Arturo has called Wichita home for over 20 years. In 2013, Arturo started his career with Mahaney; although he had experience in construction, roofing was a new trade for him. After just 3 years, Arturo was promoted to a foreman for Mahaney’s Roofing Division.
Outside of work, Arturo enjoys staying active with his wife and 2 sons, playing volleyball, and keeping busy with projects around the house.
Arturo explained how Mahaney has impacted his life saying, “I’m thankful Mahaney trusts me with the opportunity to be a foreman and for allowing me to share my knowledge with the team.” He added, “I like the consistent work and that people are treated well here.”
As for what Transform Communities means to him, Arturo says, “you can transform communities by using your skills and teaching others to do good work that impacts the environment around you. I’m proud of the team I have and how we work together for a bigger plan.”
