Champion Highlight | Luis Varela Corona
Congratulations to Luis Varela Corona for being chosen as November’s Champion of the Month!
For over seven years, Luis has been a valuable part of the Mahaney team. He has developed his trade throughout his time at Mahaney to become a Senior Foreman for our Services division. Luis says, “every day is different here. I like the variety of work and that I’m able to solve problems and have satisfied, happy customers.”
Outside of work, Luis spends his time with his wife and two sons going to the movies or other outings as a family.
Luis was chosen as the Champion of the Month for his commitment to our Value of Creating Opportunities for Others. This Value represents our effort to provide an environment that encourages people to improve their lives financially, emotionally, and spiritually.
For Luis, Creating Opportunities for Others means to “share the knowledge that you have with others so they may have the same opportunities. It’s important to know how others learn and get to know them so you can teach based on how they will learn best.”
Rudy Ramirez, Services Superintendent, says, “Luis has and will step up to take on any challenge. He is efficient and always willing to train up those around him.”
Luis said working at Mahaney has impacted his life by “giving me a stable job to provide for my family and our needs.” He added, “the people here at Mahaney are helpful especially Julie and Rudy, they really care about their team.”
