Champion Highlight | Cody Thurman
Congratulations to our February Champion of the Month, Cody Thurman! Cody has been with Mahaney since early 2020 and has quickly made himself an invaluable part of the Equipment team as a mechanic. Cody was born and raised in the Belle Plaine area, south of Wichita. He has been passionate about the mechanic industry since he was young growing up around his grandfather’s shop. He was also exposed to the racing side of mechanics by his father and working on the cars together. Cody followed his passion and achieved a degree in mechanics. He honed his mechanic skills when working on his own car and racing. Outside of work, Cody and his family enjoy figure eight and demo derby racing.
Cody enjoys being a part of the Mahaney team for many reasons. He enjoys working in a positive environment where individuals are at least willing to give things a try and they take pride in their work. He says, “Mahaney is a good company to work for. The employees are not just a number, and they are good people to work with.” He also likes the fair treatment that Mahaney Group offers to every employee. Mahaney Group has provided he and his wife with stability and the opportunity to buy a house. Mahaney Group’s purpose statement is “we are workmen created with the limitless ability to positively impact our families, company, community, and country”. What does this mean to Cody? He says, “coming to work to get the job done to the best of your abilities and helping out where you can.” He lives this out in his attitude every day and his willingness to do whatever he can to help, including long hours and a ready smile. We appreciate all his hard work and commitment to helping the team. Mahaney Group is proud to have Cody as a part of the family! Congratulations again, Cody!
