Champion Highlight | Brandon Sanger
We would like to extend our congratulations to Brandon Sanger for being November’s Champion of the Month. Brandon is a metal building erector in Mahaney Steel’s Pre-Engineered Metal Building division. He grew up in Wichita, moved to Goddard, and now lives in Garden Plains with his wife and two boys. He started working in construction when he was 17, working in residential construction for 8 years, then moving on to building wind turbines for Siemens Gamesa. After a short while, Brandon decided he wanted to be able to spend more time with his family, so he left Siemens and return to construction where he quickly was hired into Mahaney. One of Brandon’s favorite parts about working at Mahaney, and for the PEMB division, is that he is always doing something different for work. In his free time, Brandon enjoys working on vehicles, where he is often joined by his two sons who love helping their dad. Brandon and his family like spending a lot of their quality time together doing something outdoors. Whether it be going to the lake, camping, or the occasional zoo visit, their family time is always filled with fun and love.
The core promise of Mahaney Group is to provide a workplace that values the worker and customer by solving problems with elevated excellence. Brandon is a perfect example of this. He always goes to work with a good attitude and does the best he can, choosing quality work over quick work. Brandon believes that “If you do something, you should put forth your best effort with a good attitude because it results in the betterment of yourself, the company, and the customer.” The main way Mahaney impacted Brandon’s life has been the new skills he has learned and the prospect of advancement. When asked if there was anything he would like to add, Brandon said, “I appreciate my supervisors for considering me. I try to come in and do my best and it feels great knowing my effort is noticed.” We are truly fortunate to have you on the team, Brandon! Congratulations!
