CHAMPION HIGHLIGHT | LORENZO BARBOSA
Congratulations to our July Champion of the Month, Lorenzo Barbosa!
Lorenzo began his career at Mahaney in 2019 on the Roofing team. Over a year ago, Lorenzo accepted an opportunity to join the Services division where he was recently promoted into a Foreman role.
As a Services Foreman, Lorenzo uses his extensive construction background to solve problems every day by helping customers with their roofing and repair needs.
Lorenzo was born and raised in Wichita, and he takes pride in how his work impacts his community.
Lorenzo was chosen as the Champion for his commitment to positivity. At Mahaney, one of our Values is Be Positive - the belief that when we approach our work with a positive attitude, we create an energy that allows us to overcome difficulties. Bringing a positive attitude to work each day balances the grit and determination we use to get things done.
Julie Quastad, Services Coordinator, says, “Lorenzo never complains. He’s great at communicating, willing to work in any environment, and he’s always positive.”
Lorenzo shared how being positive affects his work, “I like to come into work, be in a good mood, help people, and be versatile wherever I’m needed. It makes a difference. I do my best every day to make the customers happy and train the next leaders on the team.”
In reflecting on how working at Mahaney has impacted his life, Lorenzo says, “I like everything about working at Mahaney. I have opportunities to learn and solve problems.”
When he’s not working, Lorenzo enjoys spending time playing soccer or going to the park with his 3 young sons – Lorenzo, Leo, and Rey.
