Champion Highlight | Javier Fernandez-Salgado
Congratulations to our September Champion of the Month, Javier Fernandez-Salgado!
Four years ago, Javier moved to Wichita from Veracruz, Mexico to build a better life for himself. Javier joined the Mahaney Metals team a little over a year ago when a family friend, and now co-worker, told him about the opportunity.
Before Mahaney, Javier had been working with sheet metal for about 2 and a half years. Outside of work, Javier spends his time hanging out with friends. Javier says, “Mahaney has impacted my life by giving me more opportunities to learn – I’m comfortable here and able to provide for myself.”
At Mahaney one of our Pillars is Committed to Excellence. We consistently pursue excellence in all aspects of business. You never have to ask permission to do the right thing, and you never regret it.
Darrell Johnson, Metals Superintendent, says Javier is a great example of Committed to Excellence. “He is dependable, always on time, keeps busy and focused on doing things the right way.” Javier says being Committed to Excellence means “listening, doing what’s right, and always giving 100%.”
