Champion Highlight | Mario Rangel
Congratulations to our June Champion of the month, Mario Rangel!
Originally from Durango, Mexico, Mario moved to Wichita in 2003 to be closer to his family and for more opportunities. Currently a Foreman in the Steel division, Mario has built a career with Mahaney Group for over a decade, but he has been working with metal buildings for nearly 20 years.
One of Mahaney Group’s values is Work Creatively, the belief that we are a company of relentless problem-solvers. We will turn a challenge inside out or upside down to imagine a safer, more efficient, or more cost-effective solution. We continually ask the question- Is there a better way to do this? When we work creatively and challenge ourselves, we know we can make the impossible possible.
When asked of a time he believes he has implemented this value into his work, Mario says, he likes to “think outside of the box and come up with ideas to make work better.” Mario’s Superintendent, Brent Duling says, “simply put, if something goes wrong, Mario knows how to fix it. He is quick to creatively find a solution.”
Mario says Mahaney Group has helped him build a comfortable life here with his family, “I’m thankful for the overtime and that I was able to pay off my home quickly.”
When he’s not working, you can find Mario relaxing at home with his wife and kids.
