Champion Highlight | Brian Hemmen
Congratulations to our Champion of the Month, Brian Hemmen!
A Wichita native, Brian has been working in the Services division as a Future Foreman for 5 months.
“I enjoy working with my hands and I enjoy the work that I do here. The culture is really good, and the guys are like the brothers I never had” says Brian.
Brian also credits the culture at Mahaney to the division. “Everyone has a pretty good attitude. There is good team work here and everyone tries to stay positive.”
When he’s not working, you can find Brian spending time with his wife and 3 kids, working on projects or taking flying lessons. “My kids love to play outside, wrestle and I’ve been working on getting my pilots license for over a year and have completed about 35 hours.”

"Brian has the best drive I have ever seen out of a Future Foreman, when I thought of "Lead well" he came to mind" says Tim Tyler, Superintendent of Services.
When asked of a time he felt he led well, Brian says, “I’ve seen other people Lead Well. When I see that, I try to self-evaluate, I see things I need to be better at."
When asked how working at Mahaney has impacted his life Brian says, “Working here pushes you to better yourself."
