Growing up, Randy moved around due to his dad’s work in construction. He was born in New Orleans and eventually landed in Kansas City. He spent six years gaining skills as a welder before joining the Mahaney team. He first heard about Mahaney from a friend who knew Mark Bolt, the owner of the companies.
Randy says he has enjoyed his time working at Mahaney and Design-Build Construction (D.B.C.) and likes coming to work every day. One of those reasons is Mark and his dedication to the company’s values.
“I like working for a guy that does what he does for the reasons he does it,” Randy said of Mark.
Trusting the people you work for is essential, and that is something Randy has experienced and appreciates about the Mahaney and D.B.C. culture.
Randy said, “All the people in management are in your life every day. That’s one thing I expect from a company.”
Another thing our employees can expect is plenty of room for opportunity and growth. Randy has seen peers move up, and he has gotten a chance to work as a temporary foreman on a job.
“I’ve been told there’s a lot of possibility and vision for the future, and that’s a good spot to be,” Randy said.
A significant area of growth is the rebranding of Mahaney Roofing Company, D.B.C., and Sheet Metal Inc. into the Mahaney Group. Our employees are optimistic about the changes to come.
“I’m seeing more of a shift toward people being on board with everything Mark is trying to do,” Randy said, “He is creating a culture here.”
